Michael Arterberry To Give Commencement Speech at Port Chester High School

Michael Arterberry, having a long history working with Port Chester students, to deliver the Keynote Speech for Commencement

Port Chester, NY – June 13, 2016 – Youth Voices Center’s Founder and Executive Director, Michael Arterberry, will be delivering the Keynote speech for Port Chester High School (One Tamarack Road, Port Chester, NY 10573) on June 24, 2016 at 6:30 P.M.

Youth Voices Center, Inc. is a Westchester based charity that has served over 8,000 teens since its inception in 2008. Michael Arterberry created YVC’s signature program, Power of Peace, a youth development initiative that enables young people to become skilled at conflict resolution so that their schools and communities are safer. Through the experiential workshops, YVC is committed to helping lower the rate of violent incidents among youth, reduce truancy, and improve on-time graduation rates while teaching teens to become active, productive members of society. Workshops are focused on developing leadership, teamwork, collaboration, decision-making, respect for others and self and diversity.

Michael has been working with Port Chester students in several capacities since 2001 including counselor and assistant coach of various sports teams. He is proud to have such a long history with the Port Chester Community and honored to be selected as the Commencement Keynote Speaker.

Michael is an Iona College Social Work Graduate Class of 1991.
